Memorial tending to show that it is necessary to sign the Oath of Alledgeance
The author bases his opinion, that the oath of allegiance was of small value unless actually signed, on a series of Scottish Acts of Parliament from soon after the Restoration in 1660. He cites each Act and the relevant clause.
